[ image disabled ]Thanks to one of our trusted members, we have a few more details on the upcoming Zen Share, and I'm happy to share them with you (bad pun intended). First, the Share is rumored to have a touchscreen interface. I've heard rumblings of them making a competitor to the iPod touch, so don't be surprised if it's something along those lines. Second, the long awaited addition of X-Fi may finally arrive on the Share. And finally, the supposed Wi-Fi features will be different from what Microsoft is doing with the Zune. Creative is apparently treading new waters with their "sharing" system. I have a wide imagination, but I can't conjure up what Creative could be doing with WiFi that hasn't been done already. Whatever it is, I can't wait for it! It's been a long time since I've felt optimistic about Creative, but the Share is shaping up to be a a nice sounding player. I do have one more bit of info that many won't like to hear. One of our members recently contacted Creative to inquire about the lack of HD based players, and a rep replied stating the following: "Creative Labs does not plan to release any new hard drive based player like Vision W and Vision:M players at this time." This isn't anything new of course. Creative has said multiple times that they're focusing on flash based players now. Still, there are many here who have been waiting for a true Vision:M replacement, and sadly, we may never see one. Keep in mind these are all just rumors for now. Even the name Zen Share has yet to be confirmed. via Our Forums Thanks, kingone and cainxx |
