When I first reported on the 60GB version of the Zen Vision:M, I could hear shouts from our audience saying such statements as "It's a brick!" and "what a fatty!". If players had feelings, then these poor little (or shall I say big) 60GB players would have the lowest of esteems. Well Creative listened up and sent the 60GB ZVM and ZVW to fat camp and today is their unveiling party. Like you see on those weight loss info-mercials, here's some Before and After action:

These slimmer versions are now about the same size as their 30GB counterparts. The 60GB ZVM went from 22.1mm to 19mm and the 60GB ZVW drops from 26.4mm to 22mm. The newly improved players will be available in Japan later this month and the retail pricing will remain the same. No word on whether these thinner models will reach our shores but we can only hope. At least we know Creative is still working on making players, and not just accessories.
