Today in Japan, Creative announced another product for their Made for iPod accessory lineup. This time, it's a portable speaker system for the iPod Shuffle. The TravelSound i50, as it's called, has a fairly different style from other Shuffle speakers that I've seen. Whether that's a good thing is up to you. I personally like the way it looks, but I think it could benefit from having matching colors to the player (a black version would also be nice). The speaker has a built-in lithium-polymer battery that's good for 15 hours of playback. It also has a built-in USB port for charging the player.

I'm not really against Creative making these iPod accessories, but I don't see any reason why they can't come out with a similar speaker for their own player, the Zen Stone. The TravelSound i50 will be released in Japan Mid September, at a price of 7,980 Yen, or about $69US.
