The screen has broke, but was wondering do any of you know what i should do? I know its gonna cost an arm and a leg but do any of you knowledgable people out there happen to know what creative charge to put right and replace the screen?

Just how much i am frustrated at myself:

Is it still under warranty? You can probably get a replacement for free if it is.

Yeah, however it was my fault so i should pay surely? and in September Creative had to replace the ZVM due to hardrive failure. I'll see what they say really, do i have to use the RMA email process for this again and send about a million emails... again! Or is there a seperate way for this type of thing?

Nope, sorry, you'll have to RMA it (it's better than paying, right?).

Dunno sitting in my pocket like usual really, must have knocked something with my leg as there is a small pin prick mark on my BSE right in the centre of the black splodge! Shame cos its more hassle getting it fixed.

Oh right cheers, ill have to search through an rma search then and see what i find. If that is the case then ill be happy, thats a fair price and hopefully cheaper in British pounds!

Oh and kickenchicken don't worry about the screen cracking it does take alot of strain usually and its not that common you just have to make sure that not alot of pressure is applied to either side of it or something like in my case has a small contact mass with lots of pressure is applied to it!

My screen broke a while a go, I'm really sorry for you, I kind of was lucky though since half the screen is somewhat visible. Creative told me getting it fixed would cost me $122 USD plus shipping so I figured it could be around $160 in total which is only 40 USD behind the $200 USD the player costs now so I decided to leave it the way it is and buy a new one when I get some more money, now I decided I want to wait if they release the X-Fi M.
If you decide not to fixe it you can always connect it to a TV or something so you can see what's on the screen and you can put in the now playing list the things you want to hear for the day. the custom button can be configured to send you to the song you're playing in that way everytime you want to turn the volume up or down or change the song you can first press the custom button, in that way you'll be sure you're in the right screen and are not gonna mess your player up.

Take the screen protector off that comes on the ZVM. Get a BSE, then buy a case to hold it in.
