Looks too fake to be true? Also, I don't see the need in a 60 GB ZVM. I'd just wait for the next gen, which would hopefully be 60 GB. If the next gen Zen is not, the next gen "something" will be.

Well actually the "60GB" is to small compared the the 30GB and the "6" is different from the 6 found below. Also, the " - " after 60GB doesn't look right either. All that combined with the fact that it lacks the specifications for the 60GB model leads me to believe this is FAKE.

I've heard it's coming out the 24'th. I hope it is. I'm not sure but I'm at least waiting until then to buy my Hard Drive mp3 player.
It's not a fake. Go to your local 7-11 and look at the Maxum magazine yourself and go to page 158. The one I have is September 2006. I will post the entire page I scanned. If you still don't beleive me then I can scan it again showing part of the next page with it, or whatever. Hell, I'll take a picture of me holding it. Whatever.

As for the next gen, I don't want to wait. What I'll do is buy this, and use it until the next-gen comes out, then sell mine on ebay getting all but 60 dollars back from it, and then go out and buy a next gen. Just like how I go to iPod's outlet store and buy them for 100 off and sell them for 100 more to the little moronic kids around here and make easy money.

heh.

wow...that's interesting. OhioState87 just posted that ad on Thursday from his....umm....magazine - it was made into a newspost on the home page here. Ohio's magazine was not Maxim (but it was close!), and it only showed the 30GB version......

Tuvix, I believe it now since it's the whole page, but you can see why I didn't with the original pic. That's basically the same exact ad that I posted except yours mentions the 60GB, says 240 hrs of video playback, and the Zen V Plus in the upper left has a panda instead of flowers.

Bitshitter, it is weird that they have these 2 different ads. Don't worry though, that "In-depth" review of my magazine is coming, and you'll be the first to view it!

Why would they make two ads exactly alike and just add 60gb in a place that doesn't make sense. I know a 60GB player is coming out but I highly doubt that ad is real

Look at this one. It's Exactly the same ad, but does not have the 60gb number.

Tuvix, show a video clip of you holding it and moving it around with the 60gb wording, and then I'll believe it.

Just took a look at that Maxim magazine and I just want to confirm that the 60GB advertisment is true! Here's my picture of it:

Thanks for confirming that. It's hard to believe they'd just throw the 60gb capacity in there though without changing anything else, or actually announcing the 60gb player yet. It still doesn't make sense to me

That's exactly the reason I was skeptical and had to go find out for myself. 15,000 songs seems much more probable now that they threw in the 60GB. So is this basically an indirect way of confirming that the 60GB ZVM is coming?!

But we won't hear them because our thicker battery will still be kicking out the tunes long after theirs have gone back on the charger.

Yeah. I still feel the urge to get the magazine in person, not like that's a bad thing

Anyway, I was looking for a good picture to make a newspost about, so I think I'll use this, although it's still beyond me how Creative can just put that number there. I guess it's because it's a September issue?

Yeah, it really doesn't make much sense to me, either. But if they can put that in there because it's a September issue, then would that mean the September release date rumor could be true?

P.S. - Happy 100th to me! lol

Why in the 30GB ad does it day 15,000 songs, 120 hrs of video, and the 60GB it says 15,000 songs, 240 hrs of video?

Surely the 15,000 songs should also increase to 30,000 songs? (For advertising purposes only )

Yeah, they could put 30,000 songs, for advertising purposes, but 15,000 songs is definatly more realistic for a 60GB player. Isn't the iPod Video 60GB advertised at 15,000 songs?
