So, no players seem to be coming out of IFA or COMEX. But, Creative does have weird release patterns, so we might see something before the year ends...who knows. Next year, something will come for sure...most likely a Style refresh...

I never thought about these, but sumwon is actually right....
the only way it could be intresting is if the zii egg gets a low price tag
so people will think twice before buying an Ipod....
like they are doing right now basicly...

@Brandonson: sure, the new iPod eats up a lot of the (formerly) unique features of the Zii EGG, but Creative is still hanging in there with these: GPS, HD output, SD card and broad codec support. That is, if they were actually selling them (or planning to)...

they've just bastardised the ipod nano. its laughable now. I know touchscreen is the rage nowadays but its on a smaller screen. there's unnecessary wait to change to other screens and you lose out on video and a bigger screen. I dont know how anyone can see that as an upgrade. the clickwheel was one of things that made the ipod navigation great. look it now :S its all about the ipod touch now. its practically saying. if you haven't got an ipad, iphone, they are pretty much saying their multimedia mp3 player is the touch and if you want it all go here and spend on our app store :S lame

hello everybody im new to this site, just created this account for posting this but i will probably stick with you guys because i found some posts about modding

well i will explain my problem, this is how it happened...

my creative zen 4GB (not mx) was plugged into my computer adding some music but when i plugged it off at the renew/rebuild? it got stuck i tried the power on button first but it didnt work so i pressed the reset button.
after this i tried all the methods like reset>hold play and power>nothing happened. not even blue light
i thought my zen had just died but here come`s the funny part when i plug it into my computer, then i can still hear that windows sound(when plugin usb)

for the people who didn`t read or for those who can`t read my bad english: its not WSOD


could somebody help me or are there more people with this?

--edit--
i tried recharging with a wall charger when i went to sleep but it didn`t work

Late reply, I know...

Your Zen seems to be bricked as far as I can tell, sadly. Whena device plugged into a computer says it's doing something, you should ALWAYS leave it there until it's CLEAR that it's ready to be unplugged.

I'm sure there could be some magic way to replace a part or something, but it's probably not worth it, since a new part could cost more than a new player (especially an MX).

well thanks for your reply but i got a nokia n97 now (30GB) and i will probably get an iphone 4g soon so i dont use it anymore
but im gona keep it and try it over about 2 months because then the battery will be 0%
i have 1 more of the same zen but with some huge scratches on the screen
