Just thought I'd put this in for anyone interisted. If anyone can get links for these reviews I'd appreciate as I'm still computer dumb and don't know how to do it myself.
The reviews rate both as very good and their sound as excellent. Let downs are that there is nothing innovative about them.
Best as I can tell they're both great sounding solidly built and easy to use players with the 32 gig Xfi style being a bargain. I hope these players get more attention. Of Course with sites like Anything But Creative...er Ipod they probably won't fare very well since they don't have a gazillion sound enhancements, but from these and other reviews, I gather they're solid players for someone who just wants to listen to music and maybe a short video.
I still love my Zen 32, still probably an all time great bargain and it sounds great.

Yeah, the ABI avoids Creative like the plague. I have always found Creative players to be some of the best out there if you're looking for a solid music player and nothing more. Having used the Zen's and Sansa Fuze and Clip, I largely prefer to spend my money on the budget players and use high-end headphones instead of going after the crazy ass customizable geeked out Cowon and Samsung touch screens. My preference I guess. I hope Creative continues to put out better Zen's in the future.

I can agree there. The only thing you really get for more is a bunch of eq and surround settings and then bells and whistles which I probably have on my phone already. Your right about investing in headphones as the only reason you need an eq on these is to help the cheap phones. I haven't experienced surround sound on and MP3 player, but dollars for donuts besides improving the sound stage it adds distortion.
