'Enjoy up to 8,000 MP3, WMA or AAC songs, watch up to 120 hours of videos'

That only applies for 32 GB.

lawl... tbh Im gonna wait for Creatives new HDD player, you have to transcode EVERY video you want to put on this, thats like the only "mishap", It took me a day to convert the videos my bro wanted on it, with the creative software... it was only about 20 videos...

that is, IF they make a new HDD player...
if they have 32gb they might just give us a high end flash player for their "new player"

With regard to my previous post. I don't think there will be a new HDD player.

With regards to comparing 160 Gb to 16 Gb. I think this will be immaterial in the near future. With the cost of memory reducing by half every 9 mths you could easily see 64 Gb for the cost of 16Gb in the space of 18 months. Bearing that in mind. How many average users use all 160 Gb ? Only hard core media users. Seriously most users don't need that. If the interface of the content transfer software is clever/usable enough and the user has all their content on off line sources (PC / Mac etc...) you won't require the 160 Gb
Remember 16GB is ãpprox up to 3,500 songs, up to 20,000 photos, up to 20 hours of video, or some of each. I Cant honestly remember using that amount in a month (other than the video). Bearing in mind it would only take approx 25 mins to change that 16 Gb to something else. A different 3,500 songs etc... The 160 Gb + would only benefit lazy people who cant be bothered to change their content.
Bear in mind that Hard Disks are intrinsically more damage prone and power hungry that Solid State. Suppliers don't like that.
Bearing all of that in mind I think it very unlikely that there will be any hard disk player from Creative in future unless they release a new product aimed solely at high end video content. (I don't think that market it big enough for them at the moment)

whilst all your points are true i mostly disagree with your analysis. you will find many people on this site who need more then 64gb, especially if the music is ripped at high quality. i AM lazy, thinking about what music/media to use is annoying - i want it ALL with me all the time. people also critisise HDs as being weak and dodgy. this is not true. whilst they do have higher failure rates, their are people around here with 5-6 year old zen touches. the player generally becomes redundant before it breaks. whilst the price of memory is coming down, the capacities of HD are increasing as well.

i currently only have 5gb of music, but i have 30gb of movies and 10gb of photos. i wont be buying a new player less then 60gb. not to mention in the last two days i obtained 300+ songs.

Of course,

I am doing a doctorate in music. I have more than 60Gb of music. I would like to have it all with me and it is a nice way to back up my music. I have a lot of videos too. As you can see I need a lot of capacity.

for some people large capacity is neccessery...
i have 57gb of music, so right now my zvm is enough...
but my listening habbits are such that i constantly change my playlist on the go, if i wouldn't have everything on me then there are songs that i'd listen to once a year coz i'd never get to them.

nowadays everyone have some sort of an mp3 player, but back in the pre-ipod days, only real music fanatics would carry their music no them, you just wouldn't see that many with earphones on the street.
for me it feels that most people don't care that much exactly what music they have on them as long as they have something, and up to 16gb is more than plenty for those people. but for people who really live and breathe music, they want to have more than that.

Where is it though? They don't list the 8GB Player either. Something fishy is up, but if there really is a 32gb Zen, Then thats definently going to be on my Christmas list
