Update.. zen v+ is alive.. after charging for a week it popped up "My Zen"..

that portable media player isn't that good... where's the HDMI connector and it movie codecs are crap. though nice pic of district 13

I've gone through 3 'dead' ones...two with dead screens, and one that lasted almost three years(dead battery, which can be replaced easily)

but the tablet looks kinda sweet.. i mean considering the specs .. the price is i bit hefty but this could fall pretty fast..by xmas.. this zii media tablet would be lower than the ipad for sure.. and if the archos line of new ..all have capacitive screens and hopefully running 2.1 or higher .. and with gingerbread out about the same time!!!allgood !allgood

vanilla android though does look rather crap though but i'd rather that than anything iOS4 apparently android 3.0 gets a make over.

When I mean first its got to do with android updates. Some of the updates for HTC phones have taken forever. my friends hero took almost a year to get to 2.1 or something ridiculous.

get a tablet with chome os on it.

the problem i see with android phones is that manufacturers take forever to port the new os over and by then it seems they are already outdated and you'll have to get some hacker to do it for you..

Nexus 1 if its still (hardware viable) would be best since it'll definitely get it first but I hear they have stopped making them. so you better hurry up.

..also im also looking at something in the 7" variety for the car..
it was going to be the archos 7 ht.. but it seems cheaper 7" tablets from china are loaded with android 2.1 out the box.. with the archos 7 ht out with 1.6.. and my sister has an X10 with 1.6 and its shocking.. imo
.. i just cant justify paying that kind of money and getting android1.6..
who else feels this is a right pain in the arse or ass...?
