Creative adds color to your music

We all know how PR people likes to use words that sounds nice but don't exactly reflect the true nature of the product. But when Creative used the term "widely popular" to describe the EP-630, they certainly know what they are talking about (afterall more than 3 million units were shipped worldwide in 2008). The EP-630 has been around for ages. Besides being known for its affordability and solid audio quality, it is also widely known that Sennheiser has the exact same pair of earphones (cx300) which are selling for almost twice the price. The EP-630 now comes in 3 new colors - Pacific Blue, Atlantic Green and Mediterranean Red. And there's also a Chrome version which is called the EP-650. This is basically a color update with no change in technical specifications. I think the new EP-630 will go well with the colorful iPod Nano, while the classy EP-650 will suit your ZEN X-Fi perfectly. The new EP-630 will debut at the PC Show in Singapore on thursday at the RRP of S$45 (US$39.99, €29.99 ) while the Chrome EP-650 will be available in mid-July at S$59 (US$49.99).

I'm a fan but lost mine in the states. nice colour variations and at a good price. can't go wrong. they remind me of the replacements i got from japan last year and adding colour is always a good thing (audio technica - got the brown ones) I don't think i would have got any of them with the white wire though..

Nice. I've had 2 of these. 2 V Moda Basses. My headphones are always breaking. I need a new pair now. You guys got any tips on keeping my headphones from breaking? Saw this on Twitter!!!

You HAD to say the chrome matched the X-Fi? That forces me to get a pair.

Damn you.

Those colors look very toy like. they should have gone for a metalic shade.
I like the black and chrome ones better

By the way, any word on a new player or something yet?
any rumors?
zii in any kind of product so far?

I think if the colors were matched with a shade of grey instead of white..it would've looked alot classier.

...rumours you say?...
...of a zii product?...
...there may be rumblings...

Whenever you say that, rama, I partly wanna choke you and partly get excited about what you say, even though you don't tell me anything at all.

...but my inbox is pretty full lately...

do you think many more companies are jumping in the zii wagon?
I mean tegra seems to be ready to show up in some nice devices whereas zii isn't near a rumored one. creative better have something to show this year so that other companies see how good it performs and decide to use it as well.
creative over hyped the chip in the first couple of months of the year and then nothing.
I understand they don't have the money to make big commercials and campaigns for their products but they still make some stupid marketing strategies.

Sweet. Creative made a good move here.

Very cool! Though looking at the colors I'd say they're 3 years late. Notice how the colors chosen match the colors of the Vision:M perfectly?

well they seem kind of quiet regarding zii
this year is a defining year for the success of their new chip. they'd better release something zii related or at least one of the partners, or at least they can release a statement naming all the things they and their partners are working on that have a zii in them, kind of like what nvidia did recently with tegra.
that would make people aware. people don't care about the chip, they care about the products and what good it the chip could make to them.

it makes me think of the new zune, if it is said have a tregra chip inside and it makes it possible to play music for I don't know how many days, it would be nice to know how zii can compete with that, because of the ability to put to sleep and wake pe's on the fly it would be very difficult to determine the energy consumption but an approximation with a product would be a nice tease.

zii has to prove that it can keep up or do things better than tegra and the intel chip if creative wants it to be successful and to continue in the business for a few more years.
