| Anything you can do, I can do better. I can do anything better than you. No you can't. Yes I can proclaim Creative as they just matched Apple's recent price drop with a drop of their own. The 30GB Zen Vision:M now retails for $249. Believe it or not, Creative have been planning on lowering the price for the ZVM for a few months now. Someone from Singapore sent me a some retail info showing the price drops as well as word of the 60GB ZVM. Of course, the latter got all of my attention back then. With all that said, I'm sure Apple's last event did have an influence on the specific pricing for this drop as well as the timing of it. Creative have actually been lowering prices on a number of their players recently. First they cut prices for the Zen V, then followed that up with their announcement of the Zen Vision W for a mere $299. Creative are definitely showing they can compete with other companies in each category of players, from flash to PMP's. Sep 19 (2006) 09:38AM  | i am glad they are lowering the price. when the 60GB comes out, i think it will be $325 to compete with apples 80GB $350 ipod. i really don't care that much on the price as long as it comes out before chritsmas (my birthday is the 16th og dec. so i just get one big present for both birthday and christmas if i want). if not, creative will leave me hanging with my muvo2 fm 5GB witch is busting at the seams (more like overflowing) with music. |
